A. Shuman — CPA, MST
Principal of Shuman + Associates, Founded in 1956
Larry Shuman graduated with honors from Bentley College in
Waltham, MA where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting
and a Master of Science in Taxation. He received his professional
certification in 1973.
Larry is a member of several professional organizations,
including the American Institute of Certified
Public Accounts, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public
Accountants and The Florida Society of Certified Public
Accountants.
Active community involvment includes: Past president and
treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Everett; past treasurer of
the Everett Chamber of Commerce; past financial secretary
and treasurer at Temple Ner Tamid, Peabody, MA; president
and treasurer of Temple Ner Tamid's Men's Club.
Currently, Larry serves as treasurer of the Saugus Business
Education Collaborative, a non-profit organization that provides
grants to teachers. He is also treasurer of the Everett Development
and Financial Corporation, a non-profit organization that
provides low interest financing for local business development.
Larry currently serves on the board of trustees and as chairman
of the board of Eagle Bank.

Gary
Epstein — CPA, MST
Principal of Sherman and Epstein of Peabody, Formed in
1984
Gary O. Epstein graduated from Bentley College in 1976 with
a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and was inducted
into the Bentley Honor Society. He continued his education
at Bentley College Graduate School and received a Masters
of Science degree in Taxation with academic honors in 1981.
In 1986, he received a certificate in financial planning from
the Metropolitan College at Boston University. He is also
a Notary Public.
Gary is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society
of Certified Public Accountants; the Essex County Estate
and Business Planning Council, and a founding member of the
North Shore Accountants’ Round Table. He was a recipient
of the “Outstanding Young Man of America” award
in 1983.
Community service includes: Current member and past President
of the Peabody Chapter of Rotary International where he's
also served as Sergeant-at-Arms, Program director, Vice President,
and Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. He is past Treasurer
of the Haven From Hunger of Peabody, Inc. and continues to
participate in Rotary sponsored Haven From Hunger events.
Additionally, he's past secretary of the Essex County Estate
and Business Planning Council and former executive board member
of the Peabody Chamber of Commerce.
